KAUNAS, Lithuania – FC Barcelona will play against Real Madrid in the rematch of last year’s semifinal, trying to get to the big one on Sunday against one between Olympiacos and AS Monaco. In order to do so, they will need the best Rokas Jokubaitis, who talked to Eurohoops following before his team’s evening practice.
“I’m feeling good, our team feels good. These games are special. Motivation is at the highest level, and we are happy to be here”, he said. Talking about motivation, he has a big one since they will play in his beloved Zalgirio Arena. “For us Lithuanians playing here the Final Four makes our motivation bigger than ever. We’re happy to be here and to represent the Lithuanians in the Final Four”, he said.
“Against Madrid, we have to play all forty minutes with maximum concentration. They have a lot of experienced guys who know how to play these types of games: we need to be prepared for that. Their big guy [Walter Tavares] who is gluing everything in their defense, we know how to play against them. It will be a concentration game, who has it more with cold nerves will win”, he added about the matchup with their fiercest rivals in the semifinals.
