In the official statement, Efes announced that the 34-year-old guard, who has been playing for the club since the 2011-2012 season, has left the team.

Having won 12 trophies with Efes in 12 years, Doğuş started his career at Fenerbahçe and played in the NCAA for three seasons before joining Efes.

We have parted ways with our captain, Doğuş Balbay, who joined our team at the beginning of the 2011-2012 season, served in our team for 12 consecutive seasons, and contributed to our many successes.

Doğuş Balbay won two Euroleague championships, one Euroleague runner-up, three Turkish League titles, four Presidential Cups, and three Turkish Cups with the Anadolu Efes jersey.

We would like to thank Doğuş Balbay for his contributions to our team and wish him success in the next part of his career,” according to the official announcement.
