AS Monaco officially welcomed Mouhammadou Jaiteh.

Jaiteh, 28, inked a two-year contract, the team announced Tuesday, a few hours after he bid farewell to Virtus Segafredo Bologna via messages on social media.

Returning to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague after nine years, the French center, season MVP in the 2022 7DAYS EuroCup championship run, produced 8.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.2 blocks per contest over 33 appearances, including 32 starts set up by head coach Sergio Scariolo. The Bologna outfit ended up at 14-20 and five games away from a berth in the Playoffs, while La Roca Team instead ranked fourth and later qualified for the Final Four for the first time in team history.

Domestically, Vu Nere was held to runner-up behind EA7 Emporio Armani Milan in the LBA Serie A UnipolSai Playoffs for a second season in a row and lost to Germani Brescia in the Finals of Frecciarossa Final Eight in February. Making his way to 39 games between both competitions, Jaiteh averaged 7.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per contest.

Forcing his way to eventually developing into a dominant force in the paint at the EuroLeague level, previous stops abroad went from FIAT Torino to Avtodor and Empera Hali Gaziantep. Earlier in his career, his spell at JSF Nanterre produced ten appearances in the 2013-14 edition of Europe’s premier club continental competition. Other former teams in the top-tier division of France were Limoges CSP and SIG Strasbourg.
