After reuniting with Dejan Davidovac, Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet retained Luka Mitrovic.

Mitrovic, 30, committed for two more seasons with the contract including an option for an additional season, the team announced Saturday.

Rejoining the team based in Belgrade for a second stint in 2021, he added one more AdmiralBet ABA League championship and two AdmiralBet Basketball League of Serbia championships to the long list of titles.

In his seventh individual Turkish Airlines EuroLeague campaign and sixth at his current team, he tallied 7.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per contest over 31 appearances, including nine starts. However, the continental campaign was shut down at the end of the Regular Season with the 17-17 W-L tally falling two games shy of a berth in the Playoffs.

Drawing the tenth ABA run of his career, his 9.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest pushed Zvezda to the Finals, but crosstown rival Partizan Mozzart Bet edged out the best-of-five series, 3-2. The domestic league championship combined with winning the Triglav osiguranje Radivoj Korac in February produced the two team titles of the 2022-23 season, following two Triple Crowns in 2020-21 and 2021-22.

In 2023-24, Crvena Zvezda will once more combine Europe’s premier club continental competition with regional and domestic competitions. With Hassan Martin and Luca Vildoza officially signed to other teams, Facundo Campazzo returning to Real Madrid, and Filip Petrusev heading to the Philadelphia 76ers, reinforcements will be necessary for the team coached by Dusko Ivanovic.
