A second straight campaign in Europe, specifically in Spain, placing Kyle Guy in the Tanteo list adds a final obstacle prior to moving to Valencia.
The Oranges officially submitted a bid for the Indianapolis native with Joventut Badalona holding the right of first refusal, according to the ACB rulebook. His previous team has five days to match the offer and thus retain Guy with the deadline set for next Wednesday. The situation is similar to a restricted free agent in the NBA, exactly the same as FC Barcelona looking to add Willy Hernangomez.
Guy, 25, initially accepted the offer from the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague participant.
In 2022-23, he was a treat for Penya fans. He made his way to 53 NBA games between spells at the Sacramento Kings and Miami Heat, before opting to move his hot shooting to Europe. Additional professional experience was generated in the G League via the Stockton Kings, Cleveland Charge, and Sioux Falls Skyforce.
