After only one season with Maccabi Tel Aviv, the Israeli club officially announced the departure of the 31-year-old guard Austin Hollins, who couldn’t contribute much to Oded Kattash’s team in the 2022-23 campaign.
Starting only five EuroLeague games, he put up 1.8 points and 1.3 rebounds in just 9:42 minutes of average playing time over 19 appearances. In his all-time EuroLeague career, his numbers are way better: 7.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. Unfortunately, in late January he suffered a knee injury that forced him to stay out until the end of the year.
Before moving to Israel in 2022, the 31-year-old American guard also played with Zenit Saint Petersburg for two seasons and Crvena Zvezda. Previously, he wore the jerseys of Denain in France, Kauhajoen Karhu in Finland, other than Gießen 46ers, and RASTA Vechta in Germany.
