Milos Teodosic will continue his career with Crvena Zvezda, officially announced by the Belgrade club. The two sides have reached a deal for a one-year deal, and the experienced point guard has bid farewell to Virtus Bologna after spending four years with the Italian team.

Teodosic is returning to play basketball in his home country for the first time since 2007, when he played for FMP.

By signing for his beloved Crvena Zvezda, Milos fulfilled his long-standing desire and finally donned the red and white jersey of the cherished club he has supported since childhood. The club expresses its gratitude to him for the great desire he demonstrated during negotiations, ensuring a final agreement and contract signing that satisfies both parties.

With Milos’s arrival, Crvena Zvezda gains a lot – a devoted supporter, an experienced point guard, a player with numerous significant matches under his belt, exceptional court vision, a leader in the locker room, and someone who excels in close games and decisive moments – the best,” as stated in the official announcement.

Since joining Olympiacos in 2007, the 36-year-old playmaker has steadily established himself as one of the top point guards outside the NBA. He was named EuroLeague MVP in 2010, earned three All-EuroLeague First Team selections (2010, 2015, 2016), and was included in the Second Team three times (2012, 2013, 2017). Teodosic also won the EuroLeague championship in 2016 with CSKA and led the competition in assists in 2015 and 2017.

In 2017, Teodosic made the leap to the NBA, where he spent two seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers, averaging 8.0 points, 4.0 assists, and 2.4 rebounds.

During his time with Virtus, Teodosic guided the team to the EuroCup title in 2022, earning the Final MVP award. He also contributed to their success in Italy, securing one Scudetto (Italian League championship) and two Supercups.

I would like to say thank you to the entire Virtus team. Thank you for the opportunity and the honor you have given me to wear the Virtus jersey and be part of some great moments. For these four special years, a big thank you to President Massimo Zanetti!…

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with two great coaches, Aleksandar Djordjevic and Sergio Scariolo. This meant a lot to me because I had the chance to learn something new…

I will remember these four years with a smile, thanks also to all the club staff and, of course, thanks to the Virtus fans. You have always been there, beyond the results, always giving support and chants…

Last but not least, thank you to all my teammates! I’m sure we will meet again in the future, and I can’t wait,” Teodosic said, as Virtus announced.

Crvena Zvezda continued building the roster for the 2023-24 season, as before Teodosic, the club signed Dejan Davidovac and Marko Simonovic and retained Luka Mitrovic on a long-term contract.
