Zalgiris has finalized its team roster for the upcoming season with the addition of the third offseason newcomer, forward Brady Manek, as officially confirmed by the Kaunas club.

The Lithuanian champions secured a contract with the 24-year-old American player who made a name for himself in the NBA Summer League, attracting the attention of NBA clubs, leading to his signing based on a “1+1” formula.

Originally from Oklahoma, Manek showcased his basketball talents while playing for the universities of Oklahoma and North Carolina during his college years before embarking on his professional career last year.

In the previous season, the new Zalgiris player competed in both Australia and Turkey. He started with the Perth Wildcats before transitioning to the Tofas Bursa team in Turkey. In Australia, Manek achieved an average of 13.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. After his move to Turkey, his performance soared even higher, with an impressive average of 15.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. Combining his achievements in the Australian and Turkish leagues, the new addition to the Zalgiris displayed an impressive 38% accuracy in three-point shooting.

Before officially joining Žalgiris, Manek tested his skills in the NBA Summer League and garnered interest from multiple NBA clubs. He previously played for the Atlanta Hawks, where he averaged 12.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Brady Manek marks the third newcomer to the Lithuanian champions, joining the ranks of Naz Mitrou-Long and Danielius Lavrinovičius.
