Anadolu Efes beat Lokomotiv Kuban 83 – 82 in the opener of the 2023 Gloria Cup preseason tournament held in Antalya, Turkey.
Elijah Bryant posted 20 points and six assists to pace Efes overall on offense while newcomer Derek Willis dropped 20 points. Tyrique Jones, another summer arrival, added 12 points and seven rebounds.
In Israel, Maccabi Tel Aviv began its preseason games by beating fellow Winner League side Hapoel Holon 89 – 68.;
It was a very balanced performance by Maccabi players. Josh Nebo had 11 points and Antonius Cleveland delivered 10 points plus seven rebounds. James Webb and Bonzie Colson dropped nine points apiece.
