Zalgiris Kaunas announced that they sold out all the tickets for the home opener of the new season in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague against Crvena Zvezda – almost three weeks in advance.
The Lithuanian champions will play against Virtus in Bologna in the opening round and will then host Crvena Zvezda on 13th October in the packed Zalgirio Arena. All tickets were sold 18 days before the match.
The fans of Zalgiris showed once again that the team will have their full support and that Zalgirio Arena will be tough to conquer again in the upcoming season.
The Kaunas team made it to the playoffs last season with an overall 19-15 score, winning 13 out of 17 games in front of their fans.
