New challenges for Georgios Bartzokas

By Eurohoops Team/ info@eurohoops.net

Olympiacos started the season with a series of victories, clinching the Greek Super Cup and defeating arch-rivals Panathinaikos twice. However, troubles are piling up for the Piraeus team.

Shaquielle McKissic suffered an injury in EuroLeague Round 1 against Panathinaikos, while Luke Sikma and Nigel Williams-Goss got injured during the weekend opener in the Basket League against Aris.

McKissic has developed a bone bruise in the femoral condyle and damage to the quadriceps tendon after his fall in the game against Panathinaikos in OAKA. He is expected to be out of action for 3-4 weeks.

Sikma suffered a hematoma on the left gastrocnemius and will be out of action for two weeks, while Williams-Goss also suffered a left biceps muscle spasm, and his participation in the game against Barcelona is doubtful.

That’s not all, as Moustapha Fall continues to train individually due to a strained inner collateral ligament of the right knee and is doubtful for the EuroLeague Round 2 match at the Peace And Friendship Stadium against Barcelona.
