After the win over Crvena Zvezda in the EuroLeague Belgrade derby, the black-and-white side announced Kevin Punter to remain out for two weeks due to a minor knee injury.

As time passes, however, the Serbian side is still without its main offensive option. Facing Fenerbahce at home in the EuroLeague Round 7, while the Turkish team won’t have Dyshawn Pierre, Sertac Sanli, Nick Calathes, Marko Guduric, and Metecan Birsen at its disposal, Partizan Belgrade won’t have its captain.

“Kevin Panter is still not able to start”, the 63-year-old mastermind commented on the American guard while touching on two other Partizan Belgrade players. “[Mateusz] Ponitka started training, he had two training sessions. Everything is fine with [Alen] Smailagic”, he also said.

Talking about Bruno Caboclo, the Brazilian won’t be available as well. “Bruno [Caboclo] had the first training session with the team today and that’s where the story with him begins and ends. I think he is a player who can help Partizan and that’s why we decided to bring him. We have yet to see how he will look at the training sessions”, Partizan Belgrade’s leader talked about the former ratiopharm Ulm center.

The Serbian head coach also presented the game by praising the yellow-and-blue team. “Fenerbahce started the season great, they are currently the best three-point shooting team in the EuroLeague. Of course, they have important shortcomings, but despite this, they have a deep roster. Still, it is not easy for them that all four players will not play. However, they still have very high-quality players, and they can reflect their game on the field with their current squad“, Zeljko Obradovic added.
