Three weeks after overcoming a right shoulder injury, Valencia’s Jared Harper suffered another setback.

Harper, 26, will sit out the upcoming affairs on the 2023-24 schedule with a hamstring strain.

Per the press release: Valencia Basket guard Jared Harper reported some discomfort in the back of his thigh after the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game on the EA7 Emporio Armani Milan court.

The imaging tests that the player has undergone reveal that he suffers a left leg hamstring strain.

Harper will be sidelined for the Taronja team’s next games. His evolution will mark his return to the practices.”

Coming off the bench in all four Turkish Airlines EuroLeague appearances, Harper went for 8.8 points per contest. He was coming off 10.4 points and 3.3 assists per contest in 31 games played with the Oranges through his first campaign in Europe’s premier club continental competition. In his second year in the ACB, he averaged 12.2 points per contest over five appearances.

The former Auburn standout already missed three weeks with a shoulder injury. He now rejoins Martin Hermannsson (left knee surgery) on the sidelines. Also, Chris Jones is currently dealing with an injury in his left ankle, and Boubacar Toure with an illness.

Dropping to 5-2 in EuroLeague and 6-2 at the domestic level was the result for the team coached by Alex Mumbru after losing consecutive games for the first time this season, on the road against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan and Joventut Badalona, respectively.
