Anadolu Efes dealing with multiple issues, added Ante Zizic to the injury list.

Zizic, 26, has been ruled out for one month with a first degree calf strain. Head coach Erdem Can updated the status of the Croatian center on Monday.

Can, 43, talked about other players on the injury list, identifying the current injury for Elijah Bryant. The American import, sidelined over the last three weeks, has been diagnosed with plantar fascia. “When we thought he recovered, the pain increased again,” noted the Turkish tactician, “We are waiting.”

Tibor Pleiss has been limited by an injury as well, missing recent team outings. “He has not started practicing with the team yet,” Can updated the status of the German center, “We hope he can start this week, close to the game. We don’t know yet.”

Up next for the Istanbul outfit is a trip to Belgrade for a meeting with Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet in Round 11 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season on Friday. Apart from the three aforementioned players, Derek Willis (hand surgery) and Dogus Ozdemiroglu (knee surgery), Shane Larkin and Erkan Yilmaz are dealing with injuries as well but are not expected to sit out any approaching games.

“There is a big problem finding players in the market,” Can described the ongoing effort to reinforce the squad, “We are doing our work. Maybe we can add one player to the roster. We will try to find the best possible option.”
