It was a game in which both teams have already missed their chances for a Top16 spot, but a win is always a win and Karsiyaka ended the regular season on a high note by beating Zielona Gora on the road 83-81.
Justin Carter who scored in total 27 points sealed the outcome with two free throws and Przemyslaw Zamojski with a three at the buzzer cut the final points difference to two. It was a close contest with the hosts reacting at half time after trailing 49-36 at the first half. Still despite the balance in the last two quarters, the guests smiled at the end.
Mateusz Ponitka had a double double for the losing side with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Juan Palacios with 13 points and Josh Carter with 10 were the only other double digits scorers of Karsiyaka.
