Following Chris Chiozza’s injury, Baskonia is considering adding experienced point guard Jordan Theodore, as reported by Chema de Lucas.

First, Nico Mannion moved to Varese, and after Chiozza’s injury, Codi Miller McIntyre was left as practically the only true point guard in the team. Markus Howard and Vanja Marinkovic are assisting in point guard duties, but with Chiozza’s indefinite absence due to a sprain of the internal lateral ligament in his right knee, Baskonia has reportedly decided to react.

Theodore is averaging 13.3 points, 3.9 assists, and three rebounds for Metropolitans 92 in the French Betclic ELITE this season. The 34-year-old guard previously worked with coach Dusko Ivanovic in Besiktas during the 2019/20 season.

The experienced US guard has played for various clubs across Europe. In 2017, he was named the Basketball Champions League MVP with Banvit and spent the next season with Olimpia Milano in the EuroLeague.

After that, he played for AEK Athens and Besiktas, followed by two years with UNICS Kazan before joining Reyer Venice in 2022. Since leaving Italy, he had stints with Samara and Frankfurt Skyliners before joining Metropolitans 92 last summer.
