After joining Valencia in December, Justin Anderson inked a new contract with the Taronges.

Anderson, 30, committed for the rest of the 2023-24 season, the team announced on Tuesday.

Per the press release: Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with forward Justin Anderson (1.98m, Montross (Virginia), 11/19/1993, 30 years old) to extend his temporary contract and keep him in the discipline of the Taronja men’s team for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. Since his arrival, the North American player has played twelve games with the taronja jersey with 5.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, 0.6 steals and 0.6 blocks for 4.8 credits per game. But above his numbers, he has carried out several defensive performances that have been fundamental in some of the Taronja team’s latest wins.”

The former Virginia standout started the 2023-24 campaign at Rio Breogan. Using overseas options following 257 games played in the NBA, he fueled Breo in the Basketball Champions League and Spain’s Liga Endesa. The midseason move was combined with an upgrade to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague while adding to a solid campaign in the ACB, the top domestic league in Europe.

The explosive swingman tallied 14.8 points and 3.8 assists per BCL contest over four appearances, helping the team bases in Lugo reach the Play-In stage. Since moving his talents to Valencia, he averaged 5.4 points and 2.1 rebounds per EuroLeague game. Between both teams, he is up to 10.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per ACB contest.
