In the EuroLeague Round 26, Crvena Zvezda suffered what could end up being a decisive head-to-head clash against Zalgiris Kaunas, which got its 4th win in a row, escaping from the Stark Arena with the victory.

As the end of the game approached, some fans started throwing objects at the referees after controversing decision regarding an unsportsmanlike foul on Yago dos Santos by Edgaras Ulanovas, and another whistle which didn’t come for Keenan Evans, accused of backcourt violation by the audience.

Moreover, as the refereeing trio went out of the court, objects were thrown again at them. Now, Crvena Zvezda announced they will take action against their fans, accused of “damaging the tunnel and trying to violate the physical integrity of certain actors of this match”.

The Serbian club “notes with regret that regardless of all the events during the match, the incidents at the end of the match overshadowed all the club’s efforts to organize the match without incidents”.

Finally, Crvena Zvezda announced that they are in contact with the competent authorities who, after all the necessary data have been collected and all persons have been identified, will react under their legal powers, while the club, under internal rules, will confiscate season tickets from those persons and prohibit entry to matches organized by the club”.
