Coming off the bench to give some rest to Sasha Vezenkov in last year’s EuroLeague, going only one possession away from the red-and-white powerhouse’s first title since 2013, Alec Peters has presented a huge improvement.

To confirm his status, the Greek powerhouse has officially agreed with the 29-year-old forward on a two-year contract extension, staying with Olympiacos until 2026.

Spending 13:13 minutes for 4.6 points per game last season, he largely improved to 26:46 minutes of playing time when averaging 14.3 points (61.1% from two, 54.8% from three, and 86.2% at the line) and 5.2 rebounds per encounter in the EuroLeague this year.

To start this year’s EuroLeague Regular Season, he was named MVP of Round 1 to push Olympiacos in the Greek derby victory against Panathinaikos. In such stage, he had a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds for a PIR of 31.

Playing between the NBA and G-League in his first professional season in 2017-18 between Phoenix and North Arizona Suns, he then moved overseas in 2018-19, playing for CSKA Moscow. Later on, he joined Anadolu Efes (2019-20) and Saski Baskonia (2020-22) before moving to Greece.
