We have been used to seeing the 36-year-old shooting guard Michael Roll on EuroLeague, Basketball Champions League, EuroCup, and FIBA courts since the beginning of 2010, as well as co-host of the Players’ View alongside Jake Cohen.

From now on, however, he will also act behind the scenes, joining the agency company of Octagon Europe as Chief Operations Officer. “Everybody knows that Michael Roll was a smooth operator and a top quality player in all his years of playing basketball at the highest level”, Octagon first shared on social media, welcoming the American-Tunisian experienced guard.

“What most people do not know is how effective he has been off the court and in the business field”, Octagon also said. Despite not having officially announced his retirement from the game of basketball, this looks like the end of a pretty long and successful overseas career for Michael Roll.

Winning several titles with Maccabi Tel Aviv and Olimpia Milano, he wore the jerseys of Pinar Karsiyaka and Paris Basketball as his latest European experiences. He last played with Tunisian club US Monastir in the 2023 FIBA Intercontinental Cup, averaging 11.0 points per game over two appearances.

Representing Internationally Tunisia since 2015, he has won one gold medal (AfroBasket 2021) and one bronze medal (AfroBasket 2015) with such a national team. With the red-and-white representative, he averaged 13.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game in the World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers.
