After coming back to Baskonia following the beginning of the 2022-23 Regular Season, Pierria Henry hasn’t suited up with the Basque side since January 10th of 2023, playing his last game in the EuroLeague against Bayern Munich.

Now, FIBA has officially listed the 31-year-old guard in the section dedicated to anti-doping disciplinary sanctions, suspending him for having used a Prohibited Method for a total of 48 months. He could come back playing after January 13th of 2027, when he will be almost 34 years of age.

Moving overseas in 2015, Pierria Henry spent time with Ulm, Hapoel Eilat, Tofas Bursa, and UNICS Kazan before establishing himself as one of the most interesting guards in the EuroLeague landscape with Baskonia, joining the team in 2019.

He spent the 2021-22 season with Fenerbahce and signed for only a few days with the Houston Rockets before returning to the Fernando Buesa Arena. However, he played just a few games back with the team; on January 2023, indeed, he was accused of providing a fake doping sample.
