Some good news for Olimpia Milano, and some bad ones for Partizan

By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

Olimpia Milano is preparing to host Partizan Mozzart Bet in Round 28 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, and the team dynamics have seen notable changes with the return of key players and the absence of others.

Nikola Mirotic, Diego Flaccadori, and Shabazz Napier, who were absent in Round 27, have rejoined the lineup for Milano. They have resumed practice and are now listed as available for Round 28. However, Ettore Messina’s squad will continue to miss the contributions of Alex Poythress, Stefano Tonut, and Billy Baron.

Mirotic has been a key contributor for Milano in the EuroLeague, averaging 16.7 points and 5.4 rebounds. However, his impact has been limited to 14 games due to injuries.

Napier, who returned to Mediolanum from Crvena Zvezda, recorded nine appearances before his injury. During this time, he averaged 10.9 points and 4.1 assists. Flaccadori has been a steady presence, contributing 5.7 points per match while playing an average of 16 minutes in 16 games for Milano.

On the Partizan side, Zeljko Obradovic faces a challenge as James Nunnally, recovering from a shoulder injury that sidelined him in the previous round, and Ognjen Jaramaz, dealing with a leg issue, will not be available for the upcoming match.

Nunnally‘s injury is a significant setback for Partizan, particularly considering his consistent performance. The experienced US shooter has been a standout player for the team, averaging 12.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. Notably, he has been efficient from beyond the arc, boasting a 43.3% shooting accuracy, making his absence a notable loss for the team.
