Back in 2022, when Olympiacos was facing AS Monaco in the EuroLeague Playoffs do-or-die Game 5, Kevin Durant wasn’t the only one in attendance in the Peace and Friendship Stadium.
Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone, director and main protagonists of the latest well-celebrated movie “Poor Things”, were also on the stands witnessing Sasha Vezenkov battling it out with Mike James in an intense clash between the two red-and-white powerhouses.
Now, following the great reception the Greek director’s movie had at the 2024 Oscars Ceremony, winning prices for best hair and makeup, production design, and costume design, Olympiacos has congratulated the pair, inviting the cinematic duo once again to Piraeus.
Emma Stone was awarded her second Oscar as Best Actress for her role as Bella Baxter in the movie, while Yorgos Lanthimos had a nomination for Best Director, this time won by Christopher Nolan for “Oppenheimer”.
