Gal Mekel is still part of Crvena Zvezda despite not being used by the team and their “divorce” may end up being quite bitter.
According to information from Israel, Mekel asked from the team to be paid in the next 72 hours the sum of 150.000 euros, his salaries from the last three months. According to the contract he signed, if Mekel is owned money for more than 60 days, there’s a clause that permits him to be released. That’s why both sides are trying to get the most of the situation.
It remains to be seen if a compromise will be made that will satisfy both parties, or if they will end up in BAT.
