Olympiacos center Filip Petrusev is sidelined due to a bone swelling in his right knee

Despite Olympiacos‘ victory over LDLC ASVEL in Round 31 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, they suffered a setback with the loss of Filip Petrusev during the match.

The Serbian center’s right knee swelled, resulting in an official diagnosis of bone swelling, which will keep him out of action for two to three weeks.

This setback means Petrusev will miss the upcoming Belgrade clash against Partizan Mozzart Bet (28/03). However, there is potential for his return in time for the match against his former team, Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet (04/04). The most likely scenario is that he will be back in contention for the team’s matchup against Fenerbahce Beko in Piraeus (12/04), the last round of the EuroLeague regular season.

After a brief stint in the NBA at the beginning of the season, Petrusev returned to European basketball by accepting an offer from Olympiacos. He has appeared in 15 games for the Greek side in the EuroLeague, averaging 5.5 points and 3.2 rebounds per game so far.
