Ioannis Sfairopoulos won’t have a true point guard at his disposal against the EuroLeague leaders

By Eurohoops team / info@eurohoops.net

Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet returned to winning in the last round of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague by taking down Virtus Segafredo Bologna at home, with Milos Teodosic having a great impact.

However, the experienced point guard is again out of contention for the team, as he won’t be available to Ioannis Sfairopoulos for the road game against the EuroLeague leaders, Real Madrid (29/03).

As Crvena Zvezda announced, Teodosic felt discomfort and nausea during the last training session and had to be checked into the hospital. There, it was determined that there was no serious problem. Nevertheless, Milos decided to stay in Belgrade and not travel with the team.

As the club reports, Teodosic should miss just the match against Real Madrid and is expected to be back on the court already next week.

Crvena Zvezda will, therefore, play against the defending champions without a true point guard since Yago dos Santos and Nikola Topic are also out. Trey Thompkins also won’t be making his debut against his former club in Madrid.

With three rounds to play, Crvena Zvezda is 16th in the EuroLeague standings with an 11-20 record, far from playoff contention.
