Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv took a significant step towards the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four in Berlin by securing a road win in OAKA Arena to open the playoff series against Panathinaikos.
However, Oded Kattash received bad news before the second game in Athens, as he won’t be able to count on Wade Baldwin.
“Wade Baldwin underwent an MRI this afternoon. The examination revealed that the player is suffering from a slight tear in the hamstring, and at this stage, he will not be able to participate in the match against Panathinaikos that will be held tomorrow,” Maccabi announced.
Baldwin had the highest PIR in the Maccabi team at OAKA with 18, scoring 15 points with seven assists.
The US guard was instrumental to Maccabi Tel Aviv’s success this season, averaging 17.9 points and 4.9 assists in the EuroLeague.
