After Panathinaikos Aktor knotted the series with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv at 1-1 on Thursday, Kendrick Nunn sat down with Eurohoops to discuss improvements between Game 1 and Game 2 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs, including the approach and calls made by the referees.

“You guys saw how the whistle was in the first game. In the second game, they cleaned it up a lot. It was much better in this game. As long as it is consistent like that, it gives both sides an even opportunity to win,” he replied to a question about the game officials, following up on several complaints made by the Greens after Game 1.

Nunn, 28, went from eight points, three rebounds, and one assist in Game 1 to ten points, four rebounds, three assists, and one steal in Game 2 of the best-of-five series. Moving to Belgrade’s Aleksandar Nikolic Hall for Game 3 on Tuesday and Game 4 on Thursday, he remains determined to help his side qualify for the Final Four in Berlin.

“It’s winning time,” the 28-year-old shooting guard told Eurohoops, “You can do as much as you want in the Regular Season, but now it all counts, it all matters.”

Over 30 appearances, including 22 starts in the 2023-24 edition of Europe’s premier club continental competition, Nunn tallied 14.9 points, 3.0 assists, 2.5 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and 0.1 blocks per contest. He moved his talents overseas in October, following 212 games played in the NBA.
