EuroLeague referee Matej Boltauzer was involved in a theft scandal when found guilty on camera of stealing perfume at a Duty-Free shop in Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport.

Following an investigation that is still taking place by the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Crvena Zvezda has now released an official statement on the matter, sharing public documents from the Third Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office.

It now seems like the Slovenian referee has paid the price of the perfume (25.905 Serbian dinars, more or less 221 euros) upon entering Serbia in April, and that he also donated 30.000 Serbian dinars (approximately 256 euros) to charity for humanitarian purposes.
