The next home game of Partizan Mozzart Bet to be held under 80% attendance capacity

The latest disciplinary decisions announced by Euroleague Basketball concern Partizan Mozzart Bet and Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet.

Incidents during Round 24 of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season and a direct meeting of the Belgrade rivals in Belgrade Arena resulted in the sanctions.

Per the press release:

– Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade has been sanctioned with fines amounting to €50,000, and its next game to be played at a limited 80% of its capacity, including the closing of specific sectors, for multiple incidents generated by its fans during the game Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade – Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade, under Article 29.1.h), 29.2.d) 29.2.e), 29.2.f), and 29.2.g) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code

– Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade has been sanctioned with fines amounting to €20,000 for incidents generated by its fans during the game Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade – Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade, under Article 29.2.d), e) and g) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code

On January 31, the team coached by Giannis Sfairopoulos edged out Partizan. Two more wins against LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and ALBA Berlin shaped a perfect double-game week and improved the W-L tally to 16-10. Zvezda is tied with two other teams in fourth place in the standings.

At 13-12 after a road win against Virtus Segafredo Bologna on Wednesday, the team coached by Zeljko Obradovic is tenth, at the lowest seed for a spot in the Play-In Showdown, 2.5 games away from Zvezda and the top-six zone leading directly to the 2025 Playoffs and half a game ahead of eleventh Real Madrid.
