Fenerbahce’s head coach touched on his team’s impact from the bench against Milan

Fenerbahce concluded perfectly a “back-to-back” week in the EuroLeague, beating Paris on Monday and getting the 24-point win over Milan on the road on Thursday.

After the game, Sarunas Jasikevicius commented that his team was “offensively fantastic for the whole game”, elaborating more in the press conference. “You don’t really expect the game to go like this, we are very happy,” he commented.

Sixty of the total 100 points scored by the Turkish side came from non-starters. “We have to understand some of our players are not exactly bench players,” Jasikevicius said in the presser.

“Wade [Baldwin IV] has been injured for a while, Errick [McCollum] has been starting since joining the team. We’ve been in a good moment since January, my job is not to disturb the team that got us over there. Some of our players would be starters in other teams,” he said.

“In Europe, starting lineups are the ones that finish the game, not those that start the game,” Sarunas Jasikevicius also followed. “Very nice to see Devon [Hall] and Nico [Melli] receiving this type of respect from Olimpia Milano,” he touched on the pre-game celebration for the former Milan players.
