Preparations for the Final Four of the 2024-25 edition of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague in Abu Dhabi are likely to combine with an announcement on the hosting city of the next championship-crowning tournament.

According to Eurohoops sources, Valencia is the main candidate to host the 2026 Final Four in a brand new Roig Arena.

Belgrade is also in contention for the hosting rights of the four-team tournament to end the 2025-26 installment of Europe’s premier club continental competition.

An announcement is expected around this season’s Final Four.

Roig Arena is an indoor arena next to the current home venue of Valencia Basket, La Fonteta, and is expected to open later this year, following several delays. Building works on a new home for the Oranges started in 2020. Besides possibly placing Valencia as the Final Four site for the first time, the multi-purpose arena is projected to host several more sport tournaments and other events over the next few years.

Belgrade Arena, then Stark Arena, was the host of the 2022 Final Four and also considered a candidate for the 2025 Final Four, before Abu Dhabi landed hosting rights in late January.

The current EuroLeague focus is on the 2025 Final Four, to be played in Etihad Arena between May 23 and 25. On Tuesday, Fenerbahce Beko completed a three-game sweep opposite Paris and became the first team to clinch a berth in the upcoming season-ending tournament. Elsewhere in the Playoffs, AS Monaco is up 2-0 in a best-of-five series against FC Barcelona, Olympiacos leads 2-1 versus Real Madrid, and defending champion Panathinaikos Aktor is tied at 1-1 with Anadolu Efes.
