Returning to Belgrade after two years to join Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet is a possibility for Ebuka Izundu, according to Serbian outlet Meridian Sport.

Between 2021 and 2023, the 28-year-old Nigerian center played for FMP Meridian in the AdmiralBet ABA League and domestic competitions in Serbia. Moving on to Germany for the 2023-24 campaign, he was eventually lured by Galatasaray last June.

The Lagos native, a former NCAA standout with Miami, bounced back in the Basketball Champions League for a fourth journey, following earlier spells with EWE Baskets Oldenburg, FMP, and SIG Strasbourg. Over 17 appearances with the Lions, he averaged 9.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 0.9 blocks, 0.8 steals, and 0.5 assists per contest, including a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double in a huge win over La Laguna Tenerife on May 9 to advance to the championship game of the Final Four 2025 powered by Sunel.

In the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi, Izundu has tallied 10.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per contest, helping Galata reach the Quarterfinals of the BSL Playoffs 2025. Game 1 of a best-of-three series opposite Besiktas Fibabanka will be played in Sinan Erdem Dome on Thursday evening.
