After winning the EuroLeague title at the 2025 Final Four played in Abu Dhabi, Fenerbahce doesn’t want to stop being competitive at the highest stage in Europe, looking forward to strengthening their team.

According to Spanish journalist Chema de Lucas, the reigning champions are actually close to a deal with one of the best players of the past few years in the EuroLeague: Vasilije Micic.

Per Eurohoops sources, Micic’s agent Igor Crespo traveled to Istanbul to meet with Fenerbahce on Thursday (5/6).

The Serbian guard would join a stacked roster coached by Sarunas Jasikevicius, who previously coached him in Zalgiris Kaunas during the 2017-18 season. Micic would join Wade Baldwin IV in what could become one of the deadliest backcourts in the whole EuroLeague.

In his two years in the NBA, playing with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Charlotte Hornets, and the Phoenix Suns, the Serbian guard has averaged 6.8 points, 3.9 assists, and 1.8 rebounds per game.

Before moving to the NBA and prior to his successful run with Anadolu Efes, Vasilije Micic also played for Mega, Bayern Munich, Crvena Zvezda, Tofas Bursa, and Zalgiris Kaunas.

Returning to Turkiye, he would clash this time with Anadolu Efes, where he was previously named EuroLeague MVP in 2020-21, and Final Four MVP in consecutive fashion between 2020-21 and 2021-22.
