The Euroleague has suspended the Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv – Paris Basketball game due to the situation in the Middle East that has occurred in several countries in recent hours.
The match, scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, will be played in a new date. This comes a day after the Israeli league officially suspended until further notice.
The Euroleague has released a statement confirming the suspension of the game corresponding to round 21 of the competition:
The EuroLeague Regular Season Round 21 game between Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv and Paris Basket that was scheduled to be played on Tuesday, March 3, in Tel Aviv has been suspended due to the current situation in the region.
Euroleague Basketball will evaluate with the affected teams the best possible options to reschedule the game. Further information will be released in the coming days.
On Sunday, the Israeli updated its situation and announced the city they will travel to while waiting for the next move.
“Yesterday, the Euroleague announced the postponement of the game against Paris, which was scheduled to take place in Tel Aviv this coming Tuesday. We are monitoring the instructions and developments and will update as soon as possible. The team and professional staff are now making their way to Eilat, and tomorrow they will take off via Taba to Athens, where they will remain until further notice. We ask you to adhere to the Home Front Command’s instructions and maintain your safety. We will continue to update you with any developments”.
