Virtus Bologna achieved a victory in the final 38th round of the EuroLeague, defeating Maccabi in Belgrade with a score of 89-85.
Carsen Edwards was the best with 19 points and five rebounds, Derrick Alston Jr. had 15, and Saliou Niang 16. On the other side, Loonie Walker had 24 points, Oshae Brisett 11, and Roman Sorkin scored 10.
After eight consecutive losses, Virtus secured a win, allowing Nenad Jakovljevic’s team to celebrate at the season’s end. The teams were mostly even throughout the game, but the Bologna team pulled away in the final moments, made several crucial shots, and secured the victory.
Virtus finished the season with a record of 14-24 and will end up in 17th or 18th place, while Maccabi recorded 18 wins and 20 losses, finishing the season in 12th position.
