Žalgiris big man delivers career night to seal playoff spot, leads standout performers in final round

Moses Wright earned Round 38 MVP honors for the second time this season after leading Žalgiris Kaunas to a crucial 85–79 win over Paris Basketball and a playoff spot.

Wright delivered a career night with a 43 PIR – the highest in Round 38 and the joint second-best of the season – along with 16 points, a career-high 18 rebounds (7 offensive), 2 assists, 3 steals, 3 blocks, and 8 fouls drawn. Žalgiris finished fifth and will face defending champions Fenerbahçe in the playoffs. It marks Wright’s second MVP of the Round award this season, while Žalgiris players have now claimed four such honors in 2025–26.

Will Clyburn and Shaquille Harrison shared the second-best PIR of the round (33). Clyburn posted 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists in Barcelona’s win over Bayern, while Harrison had a career-high 25 points in ASVEL’s loss to Fenerbahçe.

Chris Jones recorded a season-high 30 PIR in Hapoel’s loss to Monaco, finishing with 17 points and 10 assists.

Among other top performers (28 PIR) were Monaco duo Jaron Blossomgame and Mike James, Barcelona’s Youssoupha Fall, Olympiacos center Nikola Milutinov, and Baskonia’s Mamadi Diakite.

Blossomgame led all scorers with 30 points, while Wright dominated the boards with 18 rebounds. Tamir Blatt and Jones dished out 10 assists each, while Shaquille Harrison, Diakite, and Usman Garuba recorded 4 steals apiece. Garuba also led the round with 4 blocks.

Five players posted double-doubles: Wright (16 pts, 18 reb), Jones (17 pts, 10 ast), Dan Oturu (14 pts, 11 reb), Milutinov (13 pts, 15 reb), and Fall (14 pts, 12 reb).
