Adhering to the “game recognize game” mantra, Kendrick Nunn showed his respect by naming his cross-town rival, Sasha Vezenkov, as the Most Valuable Player of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season.

In a symbolic passing of the torch, the reigning award winner and leader of Panathinaikos Aktor endorsed the 31-year-old Bulgarian power forward of Olympiacos, who previously claimed the season MVP nod in 2023.

With Vezenkov already officially securing the Alphonso Ford Top Scorer Trophy, the remaining honors, including the league’s most prestigious individual accolade, are pending.

K-Nunn selected another player of the Reds among the season’s elite, Nikola Milutinov, who was the EuroLeague’s top rebounder for the second time, following 2020.

His remaining votes for the All-EuroLeague First Team went to Sylvain Francisco of Zalgiris, Elijah Bryant of Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv, and himself.

The 30-year-old Chicago native concluded the Regular Season averaging 19.0 points and 3.7 assists over 31 appearances. After 212 NBA games, the 2024 EuroLeague champion has remained a force for Ergin Ataman’s side since taking his talents to the Greek powerhouse in 2023.

After finishing seventh with a 22-16 record, the Greens have secured a Play-In Showdown against AS Monaco this Tuesday at the Telekom Center Athens, and can clinch a playoff berth with a win.

As for Vezenkov’s outstanding campaign, tallying 19.4 points per game propelled Olympiacos to first place in the final standings. By securing the top seed in the playoff bracket, his side enters a best-of-five series against the eighth seed, a spot to be determined through the Play-In tournament, for a ticket to the 2026 EuroLeague Final Four Athens, presented by Etihad.
