Barcelona’s coach Xavi Pascual revealed at the press conference before the crucial game against Olympiacos that Alex Abrines may miss the big match. “Alex at the moment is in the hospital because of a stomach virus”, as he said.
It remains to be seen if Abrines will be able to help his team. After all this is a key game for both sides. Only the winner will keep his playoffs hopes intact.
Update: As it turned out, the “stomach virus” was appendicitis. The Spanish player undergone a successful operation to remove his appendix and won’t able to help Barcelona versus Olympiacos.
