Olympiacos and Real Madrid will play the EuroLeague final on Sunday (20:00 CET) at the Telecom Center in Athens.

After the Semifinal duels on Friday, we learned the finalists, who trained on Saturday evening.

On this occasion Facundo Campazzo, the point guard of Real Madrid, gave his statement to the media.

“If we want to win tomorrow, we need to be aggressive from the beginning. Not only aggressive in offense, but in defense also. They can score in many ways, from position one to position five, so it’s going to be very big challenge for us. We need to control rebound game, to be ourselves, to be fluent.”

He talked about the numerous injuries in the center position that Real is facing.

“I mean, we have three big injuries in position five. It’s going to be hard, going to be hard to control the rebounds I think. They have three big guys, long, tall and athletic, but in the same time they are very powerful at the perimeter, can score in so many ways, they are talented, they have too many talents.”

He also spoke about the situation after the 2015 EuroLeague Final when Real defeated Olympiacos. At that time, Facu played for Real, after which he entered the opponent’s locker room and took Vassilis Spanoulis’s jersey.

“I feel that I’m mentally much better, I’m far more experienced, I’m better player now, then I was then. I know it was sad in that locker room, but I’m always grateful for Vasillis giving me his shirt back then.”
