Xavi Pascual is expected to meet on Tuesday Barcelona president Joan Laporta, however according to a report by Mundo Deportivo, not only his decision is made, but also big changes are coming.
With the Pascual project ending before even getting started, general manager Juan Carlos Navarro and his assistant Mario Fernández are also on their way out, according to the report.
Josep Cubells, who was also for years the Barcelona board member heading the basketball section is out and the question is who will be the new coach and the new general manager, for starters.
Pascual’s deal with Dubai is being already finalized and money doesn’t seem to be an issue for the plans neither of the club, or the coach who is expected to leave Barcelona.
While nothing is official yet, it’s already reported that Pascual has informed Barcelona about his decision, he will pay a 350.000 euros opt-out clause and the ambitious project of his return to the club, where he won the EuroLeague in 2010, ends unceremoniously.
