Olympiacos captured the 2026 EuroLeague title in unforgettable fashion, defeating Real Madrid in front of a packed T-Center in Athens, but it wasn’t only the action on the court that stole the spotlight.
Among those left stunned by the atmosphere was Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, who attended the Final Four and later shared his admiration while speaking to EuroLeague cameras.
“The atmosphere is unbelievable and, in my opinion, the Final Four should be held in Athens every year,” Giannis said.
The Greek superstar explained that despite attending numerous major basketball events around the world, the environment created by Olympiacos fans stood out as something unique.
“I’ve been to many Final Fours, I’ve seen quite a few, but I’ve never experienced anything like this before,” he added.
With thousands of Olympiacos supporters turning the arena into a sea of red throughout the weekend, the Final Four in Athens quickly earned a place among the most memorable editions in modern EuroLeague history.
“EuroLeague should seriously consider bringing the Final Four here to Athens every single year. This is the most impressive atmosphere I’ve ever been part of,” Antetokounmpo concluded
