The EuroLeague trophy that Olympiacos won was brought to the offices of the Tsakos family shipping company, which began its cooperation with the red-and-white club at the start of the 2025-2026 season.
The trophy was delivered by Olympiacos’ general manager Nikos Lepeniotis, with Nikos and Panagiotis Tsakos sending their congratulations to Giorgos Bartzokas for the great achievement, as well as to the club owners, Giorgos and Panagiotis Angelopoulos.
On the sidelines of this small red-and-white celebration, Panagiotis Tsakos, whose family is one of Olympiacos’ sponsors, explained that the “ArrenA” water brand (already a sponsor of Olympiacos) will give its name to the new SEF.
Exhibition game with the Knicks
At the same time, the Tsakos family has connections with the New York Knicks and, more specifically, there is a sponsorship agreement between the Greek shipping magnate and the team that was crowned Eastern Conference champions in the NBA a few days ago.
Panagiotis Tsakos also spoke about the possibility of a prep game between Olympiacos and the Knicks, either as soon as the new SEF is ready or at the legendary arena in New York, Madison Square Garden.
