Zalgiris Kaunas has officially announced the return of Marek Blazevic, with the 24-year-old center signing a contract that runs through the 2028-29 season under a 2+1 structure.

Blazevic previously played for Zalgiris before leaving in 2022. Since then, he spent time with Obradoiro in Spain, Wolves Vilnius in Lithuania, and most recently Tofas Bursa in Turkey.

The 211-centimeter big man enjoyed a breakout campaign with Tofas, averaging 15.6 points and 6.6 rebounds while helping the club reach the Basketball Champions League Round of 16.

I’m very happy to have the opportunity to come back to Zalgiris for a second time. Not everyone gets a second chance, and now I return as a more experienced and confident player,” Blazevic said after signing his new contract.

Zalgiris president Paulius Jankunas praised the Lithuanian international’s development, describing him as a player who has taken a significant step forward since leaving Kaunas four years ago.
