Barça has officially confirmed the departure of five players as the club continues its summer roster overhaul, announcing the exits of Tomas Satoransky, Juani Marcos, Willy Hernangómez, Myles Cale and Miles Norris.
The wave of departures, made official on June 30, marks the beginning of a significant rebuild for the Catalan club ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The most notable exit is that of Tomas Satoransky, whose second spell with Barcelona has come to an end. Although his departure had long been expected following his outspoken comments after the team’s defeat in the Liga Endesa finals, the club has now confirmed the Czech guard’s exit. Hampered by injuries throughout the season and often forced to shoulder a heavy workload due to the team’s lack of depth at point guard, Satoransky remained one of Barcelona’s key contributors until the end of the campaign. In 37 EuroLeague appearances, he averaged 7.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists, while posting 5.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists across 33 Liga Endesa games.
Barcelona has also parted ways with Juani Marcos after reaching a mutual agreement to terminate his contract one year before its scheduled expiration. The Argentine point guard, who developed through the club’s youth academy before gaining experience with Lleida and Bàsquet Girona, completed his first full season at the EuroLeague level. Marcos gradually earned a larger role throughout the year and eventually became a regular starter during the decisive stretch of the season, establishing himself as a fan favorite at the Palau Blaugrana. He averaged 2.0 points, 0.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 31 EuroLeague games, while contributing 4.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists in Liga Endesa action.
Veteran center Willy Hernangómez also leaves the club after completing the three-year contract he signed in 2023. Arriving in Barcelona as the reigning EuroBasket MVP and expected to become one of the cornerstones of the team’s post-Šarūnas Jasikevičius era, Hernangómez was unable to consistently meet those expectations. During his time with Barcelona, he played 238 official games across all competitions, including 112 Liga Endesa contests and 111 EuroLeague appearances. This past season, the Spanish international averaged 7.7 points and 3.9 rebounds in 42 domestic league games, while recording 5.6 points and 3.8 rebounds in 39 EuroLeague outings.
On the perimeter, Barcelona confirmed that defensive specialist Myles Cale will not return next season. The American shooting guard appeared in 37 Liga Endesa games, averaging 5.9 points and 2.2 rebounds, while making his EuroLeague debut with 34 appearances, posting 3.3 points and 1.9 rebounds per game.
Miles Norris is another player leaving the club after his contract expired. The American forward struggled for opportunities in Liga Endesa due to Barcelona’s restrictions on non-EU players, making his domestic debut only in Round 10 and eventually falling out of the playoff rotation. Norris played 20 Liga Endesa games, averaging 6.8 points and 3.6 rebounds, while featuring more regularly in the EuroLeague, where he appeared in 36 games and averaged 4.0 points and 2.6 rebounds.
