FC Barcelona has officially confirmed the departure of Will Clyburn, who has activated the exit clause in his contract despite having signed a two-year deal running through the summer of 2027.
Clyburn becomes the ninth player to leave the club this offseason, following the departures of Jan Veselý, Tomáš Satoranský, Willy Hernangómez, Nico Laprovíttola, and several others, as well as head coach Xavi Pascual.
The club announced the move in an official statement:
“Will Clyburn will not continue with Barça in the 2026-27 season. Although his contract was valid until June 30, 2027, the exit clause in his deal has been activated. FC Barcelona appreciates his professionalism and performances during the 2025-26 season and wishes him all the best, both personally and professionally.”
The American forward joined Barcelona from Virtus Bologna in the summer of 2025.
During his only season with the Blaugrana, Clyburn appeared in 68 games across all competitions, including 33 EuroLeague, 31 Liga Endesa, two Copa del Rey, and two Catalan League appearances.
In the EuroLeague, he averaged 13.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 33 games.
