Nadir Hifi, one of the best scorers in the EuroLeague, is on Valencia’s radar.
According to Juan Carlos Villena, after a series of departures Valencia has turned to reinforcements and Hifi has been targeted. However, it will by no means be easy to bring Hifi to the Endesa League champions and EuroLeague Final Four participants.
The release clause for Hifi is around 2 million euros, which Valencia is unlikely to be able to pay, and they cannot compete with other EuroLeague teams financially, as we saw in the Isaac Bonga case. Still, Valencia is ready to offer Hifi a good contract, which could be a solid starting point.
Last season, Hifi was one of the best scorers in the EuroLeague with 18.9 points per game and 3.8 assists per game, and he would be an excellent addition for Valencia, who have so far lost Jean Montero and Brancou Badio, and have also decided not to offer new contracts to Darius Thompson and Xavi Lopez-Arostegui.
On the other hand, TJ Shorts and Trent Frazier are also on Valencia’s radar for the backcourt.
