Euroleague Basketball presented Euroleague Basketball+, a transformative new strategic vision designed to unite, strengthen and accelerate the future of European club basketball.
The exclusive event, held in Barcelona and hosted by former player and broadcaster Joe Arlauckas, brought together representatives from EuroLeague and BKT EuroCup clubs, domestic leagues, media, commercial partners and key stakeholders from across the European basketball ecosystem.
The presentation showcased Euroleague Basketball+’s ambition to become the digital home of European club basketball, combining competitions, content, technology, commercial opportunities and fan experiences into one integrated ecosystem. Designed around a fan-first philosophy, Euroleague Basketball+ aims to reduce fragmentation across the basketball landscape while empowering clubs, leagues and partners through a shared digital platform and innovative commercial model.
Opening the event, Euroleague Basketball President Dejan Bodiroga welcomed attendees and emphasized the importance of collaboration in shaping the future of the game. Before the presentation, he also led a tribute to the late Eduardo Portela, recognizing his lasting contribution to European basketball.
“Euroleague Basketball+ is much more than a digital platform. It represents our ambition to create a connected basketball ecosystem that brings together fans, clubs, leagues and partners through innovative products, services and experiences. Collaboration is not simply a message, it is a commitment. Only by working together will we unlock the full potential of our sport and bring the unique passion, authenticity and values of European basketball to every corner of the world,” said Bodiroga.
More than a digital platform, Euroleague Basketball+ represents the next evolution of European club basketball, built on four strategic pillars: Competition Excellence, Asset Value Growth, Commercial Operations and Stakeholder Integration. The initiative seeks to create a more connected ecosystem where clubs, domestic leagues and other basketball stakeholders can collaborate to unlock the sport’s full potential.
Euroleague Basketball CEO Chus Bueno presented the strategic vision behind Euroleague Basketball+, explaining how the initiative has been designed to place fans at the centre while creating new opportunities for every stakeholder in professional basketball.
“Euroleague Basketball+ is the next evolution of European club basketball. It is designed to unite competitions, clubs, leagues and partners through one shared ecosystem that puts the fan at the very centre. By reducing fragmentation and creating a single destination for content, products and experiences, we are building a platform that will strengthen every stakeholder while delivering an unmatched basketball experience for fans around the world,” said Bueno.
The event also highlighted the remarkable momentum of European club basketball, following another record-breaking season across attendance, digital engagement and global audiences. Euroleague Basketball+ builds on that momentum with a long-term vision focused on innovation, sustainable growth and greater collaboration across the sport.

The presentation marks the beginning of the rollout of Euroleague Basketball+, which will progressively introduce new digital products, services and commercial capabilities designed to benefit fans, clubs, leagues and partners, reinforcing Euroleague Basketball’s commitment to driving the continued growth of European club basketball.
