Olympiacos has officially announced a new two-year contract for captain Kostas Papanikolaou, keeping the veteran forward with the club through the end of the 2027-28 season.

In a heartfelt statement, the Greek club emphasized that its relationship with Papanikolaou goes far beyond a contract, describing it as a partnership built on trust, mutual respect and a shared ambition to keep winning.

Olympiacos also praised the 35-year-old’s leadership, professionalism and commitment, calling him a reference point for everyone who wears the club’s jersey.

Papanikolaou has enjoyed one of the most successful careers in Olympiacos history, winning three EuroLeague titles (2012, 2013 and 2026), six Greek League championships, five Greek Cups and four Greek Super Cups.

According to the club, the extension is “the natural continuation of a shared journey” that has brought unforgettable moments and will continue with the same values and the same ambition to compete for more trophies.
