Moses Wright is completing his transfer to EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, Eurohoops has confirmed, with the Italian club set to land one of the most coveted big men on the European market.
As part of the agreement, Barcelona will pocket a €900,000 buyout, despite never officially unveiling Wright as its player, while Žalgiris Kaunas will also receive a smaller compensation fee.
The move brings an end to one of the summer’s most unusual transfer sagas, with Wright now expected to continue his career in Milan after initially committing to the Catalan club, as first reported by SDNA.
The former Olympiacos big man enjoyed an impressive season with Žalgiris, averaging 13,2 points and 6,5 rebounds in the EuroLeague while playing a key role in the Kaunas club’s run to the playoffs and the Lithuanian championship.
Just a few days ago, speaking to Cosmote TV during the Stoiximan AegeanBall Festival, the 27-year-old center confirmed his move to Barcelona, but after all he ended up in Italy.
